Top Ten Tuesday: Cozy/Wintry Reads

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

This weeks prompt for Top Ten Tuesday is for 10 Cozy or Wintry Reads! Not going to lie, I struggled with this, and because of that I only managed FIVE cozy or wintry reads. I tried guys, I really did. But, these just aren’t the types of books I enjoy reading. I’m more along the lines of fantasy that rips your heart out and steps on it. Nothing cozy there.

If you are doing this prompt and it is not winter where you live you can fit this prompt to your current season! I would love to see what you come up with!

  1. A Court of Frost and Starlight
    • I would be hard pressed not to include a novella that literally revolves around the Winter Solstice. There’s presents, warm fires, and late night story telling and it’s the perfect story for winter!1525194227792
  2. Harry Potter series
    • I in no way think it is wrong to include Harry Potter on this list. Christmas is featured in all the books and I loved seeing the cozy presents Mrs. Weasley made for all the boys, it’s so touching! Also, I loved that they decorated the Great Hall with giant Christmas trees. Now I want to reread them all!IMG_20181110_163434_791
  3. The Grisha trilogy
    • It’s been a minute since I read these but I distinctly remember there being lots of winter scenes. Particularly in Ravka. The story will make you feel all warm and cozy too having the Sun Summoner and all.IMG_20180902_125627_105.jpg
  4. Hunted
    • I actually just bought this book on Black Friday and have therefore not read it, BUT there is a girl on the cover in a snow covered forest and that has to be of some importance to the story!IMG_20181201_133337
  5. Foolish Hearts
    • I got this book last December in an Owlcrate box and read it immediately! Which is strange for me since I don’t generally enjoy contemporary but I really loved this one. It was such a cute fun story, and I think getting it in December made it a cozy read for me. (okay honestly I’m surprised my following on Instagram grew at all with photos like this, this was from LAST December and oh my god have I come a long way. The lighting is laughably bad in this photo!)IMG_20180105_061820_325.jpg

Alright guys, that’s all I’m good for with the wintry and cozy reads! Even then some of those are a stretch, but I hope you enjoyed watching me struggle to even reach five!
