Down the TBR hole #4!

Web

Down the TBR Hole was originally created by Lost In A Story (along with the pretty graphic!) The idea is to help slim down your Goodreads TBR, because we all know how large and endless that list becomes!

How it works:

→ Go to your Goodreads to be read shelf
→ Order on ascending date added
→ Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
→ Read the synopses of the books
→ Decide: keep it or should it go?

My 5 books:

  1. Firstlife : by Gena Showalter
    • I’ve had this book on my TBR for YEARS and whenever I go to the store I consider buying it but they only ever have the two sequels. I’m kind of glad though because based on the Goodreads description I don’t know if I would like it. A story about a girl that has to choose where she goes after she dies, basically to heaven or hell, and when she chooses not to decide she’s thrown into an asylum or something? I don’t know, I’m kind of out on this one.
      • Judgement: GO
  2. The Girl in the Photograph : by Kate Riordan
    • Historical Fiction. I’m 100% out.
      • Judgement: GO
  3. The Life Intended : Kristin Harmel
    • AHHH a romance novel on my TBR? The blasphemy. This one is about a woman who’s husband died 10 years ago but she found love again and is about to walk down the aisle and realizes she isn’t as excited as she should be. It has good reviews, but I just can’t with romance books.
      • Judgement: GO
  4. The Girl Who Came Home : Hazel Gaynor
    • GAH Historical Fiction again, what the f*ck was I doing in 2015? I would literally only read this because the cover is beautiful.
      • Judgement: GO
  5. What the Dead Know : by Laura Lippman
    • Of my 5 books today this one is definitely the most intriguing. Two sisters are kidnapped from a busy mall with no signs of evidence or even a witness to the crime. 30 years later a woman in a hit and run claims to be the younger sister. Questions long unanswered will finally see the light of day. It sounds interesting, but I’m not a huge thriller/mystery fan. I don’t like books set in my world where these crazy things could actually happen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
      • Judgement: GO

Well, this was a very productive down the TBR hole post! I decided to get rid of all 5 of this weeks books: Firstlife, The Girl in the Photograph, The Life Intended, The Girl Who Came Home, and What the Dead Know. See you next week for post #5!
