down the TBR hole

Down the TBR hole #7!

Web

Down the TBR Hole was originally created by Lost In A Story (along with the pretty graphic!) The idea is to help slim down your Goodreads TBR, because we all know how large and endless that list becomes!

How it works:

→ Go to your Goodreads to be read shelf
→ Order on ascending date added
→ Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
→ Read the synopses of the books
→ Decide: keep it or should it go?

My 5 books:Photo_2019-01-02_06-56-50_PM.png

  1. The Blood Between Us : by Zac Brewer
    • I do not remember adding this to my Goodreads. At all. I don’t even recall ever hearing about this book, and that makes me incredibly sad. I have so many books on my TBR that get pushed back I eventually forget about them completely? 😦 anyways, this one is a no from me because it’s young adult contemporary.
      • Judgement: GO
  2. Wonder : by R.J. Palacio
    • This book sounds so cute and heart wrenching at the same time! I never saw the movie because this was one I wanted to read the book first so I am definitely keeping this one on my list because I still want to read it some day!
      • Judgement: KEEP
  3. Truly Madly Guilty : by Liane Moriarty
    • I can never decide how I feel about Liane’s books. I have read several of them, including Big Little Lies, and they all left me feeling, unsatisfied? The big reveals always end up being rather anticlimactic and I feel like I this one may disappoint me as well.
      • Judgement: GO
  4. In the Clearing : by Robert Dugoni
    • I actually read the first two books in this series and then lost interest. The first two were good but they ended up being basically the same story so I knew this one would be too. Also, this was before I discovered fantasy novels as my favorite and now I can’t read these crime/murder mystery/thriller books without my anxiety going through the roof.
      • Judgement: GO
  5. Mirror in the Sky : Aditi Khorana
    • This has a lot of reviews that are fairly low because the story was so bland so I’m not going to eve try reading something I know I will end up picking apart. Also, this is another one I have no memory of adding to my Goodreads.
      • Judgement: GO

That’s it for this week’s down the TBR hole! I’m not surprised I only kept one when most of these were young adult contemporaries I don’t even recognize or remember adding to my TBR on Goodreads. See you next week for post #8!
