Today’s prompt is for my top ten books I meant to read in 2018 but didn’t get to! Oh how this list could just go on and on for ages. I added so many new books to my TBR in 2018 that I obVIOUSLY was going to read in 2018 and then before I knew it it was 2019.. like, what? The year is already over? It still feels like Christmas to me.. but that might also be because I still have my tree up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ #yolo
Okay! On to my top ten for the week! (in no particular order)
Its predecessor Strange the Dreamer was my favorite read of 2018 so you would think I would want to immediately jump into the second book when it released in October right? WRONG. I wanted to, I really did.
I have yet to read any Brandson Sanderson books because they’re all massive and daunting, but this one seemed a little scary so I thought I would start with this one and see how I like him as an author before I read his other series! Guess I should get on that now.
I really really wanted to read this beautiful book! Especially when I got the exclusive cover in an Owlcrate last year! This book has been forward facing on my bookshelves displayed for the whole world to see since I got it!
This book. I have heard SO many great things about this book. I don’t know HOW or even WHY I haven’t picked this up yet.
Another one that I don’t know how I haven’t read it because I’m so excited for the sequel! Like, how can I be excited for a sequel when I haven’t even read the first book!??
I read the first two books early last year in a matter of days, and then just.. never picked up the third one? I don’t know? I have literally no good reason for this one because the Illuminae audiobooks are still my favorites ever.
I really enjoyed Before She Ignites so I was very excited to get the sequel anddddd then I didn’t read it. As is the theme of this post.
This one has the creepiest and also most alluring cover. I need to read this soon, especially before book two comes out. Also, I have the beautiful Fairyloot edition with black sprayed pages!
My heart is still not ready for this.
So I bought the 10th anniversary edition of The Name of the Wind without having ever read it!?? Yes, yes I did. I have no regrets.
The prompt this week has given lots of feels about how much I have been slacking with books I really want to read. Honestly though, I’ve been on an audiobook binge lately and I keep finding other books that are just, quicker reads. I don’t know, hopefully I will pick all of these up soon!
