down the TBR hole

Down the TBR hole #12!

Down the TBR Hole was originally created by Lost In A Story (along with the pretty graphic!) The idea is to help slim down your Goodreads TBR, because we all know how large and endless that list becomes!

How it works:

→ Go to your Goodreads to be read shelf
→ Order on ascending date added
→ Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
→ Read the synopses of the books
→ Decide: keep it or should it go?

My 5 books:Photo_2019-02-13_06-02-12_PM.png

  1. Small Great Things : by Jodi Picoult
    • As much as I dislike contemporary/fiction I do actually think this will be a very good book. I have heard from coworkers even that they loved it, so I’m willing to keep it to give it a try!
      • Judgement: KEEP
  2. Ready Player One : by Ernest Cline
    • See now this is my type of book, Young Adult/Fantasy/Sci-Fi Dystopia! I have also heard great things about this one! I also really want to see the movie even though I’ve heard it’s way different than the book.
      • Judgement: KEEP
  3. Tulip Fever : by Deborah Moggach
    • Okay not going to lie, I remember adding this to my TBR because I thought the cover was pretty 🙈 but other than that I don’t think I would pick this one up as it is a Historical Fiction story.
      • Judgement: GO
  4. The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down : by Anne Fadiman
    • SOOOO I only added this because a coworker told me she read it and thought it was really good and interesting, so I was like “Yeah I’m down to read that”, but now it’s been like 3 years and I’m clearly not going to read it.
      • Judgement: GO
  5. The Gunslinger : by Stephen King
    • Hey look! A book I own but still haven’t read 😂 I just don’t think Stephen King is for me. For one thing, I don’t like scary books. For another, I tried to read The Outsider by him and I just could not for the life of me get into his writing style, I ended up DNF it.
      • Judgement: GO

Okay this week’s down the TBR hole is in the books! (ha, see what I did there??) I’m not surprised about the three I ended up getting rid of but I actually surprised myself by wanting to keep Small Great Things! Hopefully I actually read it!
