Bookshelf Tour : Part 1!

Hello friends! I am finally going to do a bookshelf tour! This will be broken up in to two parts because while I only have 4 shelves, I have a lot of books and honestly I need to reorganize my white shelf before I show you a closeup because right now it is a DISASTER 🀣

A couple things I want to point out about my shelves: first, I am seriously bothered at the fact my shelves don’t match. I have three black shelves and one white shelf. I want them ALL to be white, hopefully I’ll be able to get there some day. But it seems a waste right now to replace the three black ones when they are perfectly fine..

I like to keep my book boxes! I try to only keep one from each company though, I live in an apartment and don’t have endless space unfortunately. I do have several extras I keep candles in though, but I keep those in my closet. On the top shelf I also have some of my favorite bookish pillows and my bookish mugs! I hope some day to get those shelf extensions that go on the top to add two extra shelves!

I *try* to keep my shelves in alphabetical order by Author last night, some times I fail though. Especially when I take a bunch of books down to take photos and they wind up out of order. I try to correct it when I see it though!

So my first two shelves are mostly taken up by Leigh Bardugo books and Holly Black books! I have read most of these but there are still quite a few I haven’t gotten to. The Hazel Wood (blue), Onyx & Ivory, Heart of Thorns, ad The Cruel Prince (white) are Fairyloot exclusives! The Hazel Wood (green), The Cruel Prince (purple), and The Wicked King (blue forward facing) are all Owlcrate exclusives!

I have not read most of the books on these shelves πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ The Dan Brown books are my boyfriends, I have no interest in them haha. I’ve read the first three Mortal Instrument books, and the first Infernal Devices book but that’s it for Cassandra Clare. I don’t know why I continue to buy her books.

Another one where I haven’t read a lot of these. I have read the Maze Runner series and all of John Green’s books (although I’m kind of tired of him and have considered selling them all 😬). Caraval and Legendary are favorites, I have several editions of Finale pre-ordered! The Redwall series is my boyfriends and again I have not read them, although these ones I would. He’s trying to find them all in hardcover. One of them is even signed! Mirage, The Glass Spare, and Ace of Shades are Owlcrate exclusives!

On to the little thin shelf! This one is mostly taken up by Jay Kristoff! I still need to read Shadow of the Fox and A Curse So Dark and Lonely. I am also missing my copy of Illuminae because I lent it to a friend, so just imagine that book being behind the Ezra candle! Also, I made that Mia funko πŸ˜‰ although I’m a little more experienced with making funkos now and I kind of want to change her head. Shadow of the Fox is an Owlcrate exclusive.

Okay now that you know I have the UK hardcovers of Nevernight and Godsgrave I want to say how incredibly grateful I am to have them, and I would never trade them for anything. I managed to snag them at Half Price Books last year which was NUTS. Also one of my favorite books is featured here, Furyborn! I actually made a trade and I have an ARC of Kingsbane on the way to me 😬😬😬 Beyond a Darkened Shore is a Fairyloot exclusive. The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue is an Owlcrate exclusive. Sawkill Girls is a Shelflove Reads exclusive.

This one is dominantly my Sarah J Maas collection! There’s some more on the next shelf but you’ll have to wait until next week to see that one πŸ˜‰ Wildcard and Tower of Dawn are signed. I also made that Manon funko! She was the first one I ever attempted, I could probably do a much better job now but this one is sentimental to me now.

I hope you enjoyed the first half of my bookshelf tour! Most of my favorite books are on the next two shelves so I am very excited to show you what all is on them!

  1. #shelfgoals Your shelves are seriously gorgeous. I have OCD and the non-matching shelves would bother me too but you are right, they work for now. When we move south to GA or north FL I told my husband I need a book room/office. Then I can get nice shelves and maybe have presentable pictures to add to my blog and Instagram. Thanks so much for showing us your bookshelves, what a great post. I threw away…well recycled…the boxes I’ve received. I did cut the QoAaD Box and keep the designed top and sides though.

  2. Your shelves are seriously beautiful! I have some extreme envy right now. I dream of having the space to own so many books and display them like you do. You have a wonderful eye for decorating too ^.^
I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone use the boxes as part of the book display, and I really like how you did it! Do you have a favorite one? (Or do I have to wait for part 2? Haha!)

  4. I love looking at bookshelves and yours are amazing!! I love that you have some facing out so you get to see the covers— I sometimes do that but I have mostly paperbacks so they are harder to stand and the covers flick out so I don’t do it often. Also I love that your made your own funko pops– I have never tried to do that but maybe one day!! I think Manon looks great especially as she was your first one!!
Excellent shelfie goals!! I love forward to part 2!! ❀

    1. I watched some YouTube videos to get the hang of it, but basically I take the head off one funko that I want for my characters and then the body from another that fits the character. Then I just paint them and make them how I envision the character. Some people are super talented with them and sculpt them and completely customize brand new funkos, I definitely don’t have that talent lol. I keep it pretty simple πŸ™ˆ
