It’s time for Friday Favorites hosted by the lovely Kibby over at Something of the Book! Head to her page for the rules and prompts! This is a weekly meme hosted every Friday where you can show off your favorites (or least favorites) based on her weekly prompts.
This weeks prompt is favorite fictional friendships! (this is a side note after having completed this prompt: KIBBY! This was so hard! Why do you do this to us?? I struggled so hard, I feel like most books I read the friendship always turns in luuuuurv and that just doesn’t seem like it should count to me)
In no particular order:
Harry Potter – Hermione Granger – Ron Weasley (Harry Potter)
I of course had to include the Golden Trio. They were honestly the first ones that came to mind! I still love them so much even though it has been SO LONG since these books came out. Also, I know my photo is unrelated because it’s for Luna but honestly this might still be my favorite photo I’ve ever taken 😍
Legolas and Gimli (Lord of the Rings)
These two crack me up so much 🤣 this is like a hate to friendship trope and I love it so much. Well, in the movie at least. I can’t speak for the books because I did not like them. Also another photo that is related to Aragorn but #yolo
The Dregs (Six of Crows)
I loved the Six of Crows duology so much! In my mind these books are far superior to the Grisha trilogy 👌 This was the only photo I could find of Six of Crows, so clearly I need to take one in my current theme!
Aelin and Lysandra (Throne of Glass)
I never thought I would say that I love Aelin and Lysandra’s friendship?? What a crazy character arc. I really think they are adorable together, eating chocolate and talking about boys.
The Marauders (Harry Potter)
I have realized I have like, no Marauders merch and just, how?? Help??
That’s all I got guys, I know I suck 🤷♀️ I stared at this screen, and then at my bookcases, and then at this screen some more, I even asked Twitter for help (unfortunately most of those answers I couldn’t apply to this post because I haven’t read most of those books!). I could have expanded and included some that weren’t bookish but honestly I’m too lazy and Wicked Saints is calling my name.
Who are your favorite fictional friendships?
