Hello and Happy Sunday friends! 💕 today is the long awaited premier of the 8th and final season of Game of Thrones! I know this has been a long time coming and I wanted to celebrate by doing a Game of Thrones Book Tag! Funny how I want to celebrate considering I’m only on Episode 7 of Season 1 😂 but I get the hype and I hope to get through the series rather quickly.
The Game of Thrones Book Tag was originally created by Biblio Nyan and I found it on TBR and Beyond! Thank you to both for letting me partake in this tag 😉 ALSO the beautiful graphics below are from TBR and Beyond, I am not creative enough to make something so beautiful and I wanted to give proper credit to these beauties 😍
Allegiant. Actually, the entire Divergent series. Don’t @ me but they could have been done so much better. ESPECIALLY Allegiant, my god what a snore fest. The entire book was literally just about the genetics of the people, which is fine and dandy because I love Science but I also felt like I was just reading a textbook. Also that ending? Spoiler, but maybe not since this book is like 6 years old, but Tris sacrificing herself for the good of mankind was entirely unnecessary and just felt like a plot device to me.
(obviously this one I’m using for 2019 releases)
THIS ONE IS SO HARD I HAVE SO MANY WHAT DO I DO. *panics* Coming out soon I would say Aurora Rising (even though I got an ARC and freaking LOVED it, I have about 5 copies my way and I WANT THEM) and Finale (I NEED MY LOVE DANTE BACK IN MY LIFE!!). Coming out later I would say Darkdawn because who isn’t excited for that! Another one I already have 4 or 5 copies pre-ordered of 🙃
Furyborn! I know this book isn’t for everyone and that’s totally fine. I love it with my whole heart and I am currently reading Kingsbane and dying over every page and how perfect everything is. I love all of the characters, the story is so interesting to me, and I think it will be one of my favorite series ever!
THUNDERHEAD OH MY GOD!! The ending of Thunderhead still has me shook, I talk about this all the time but I am SO READY for The Toll to be released this fall because waiting to find out what happens for OVER A YEAR and still having to wait another SIX MONTHS has just been pure agony. I don’t know if I was really angry about how the cliffhanger left us dangling way over the edge, but it was so good that I am angry I’m still thinking about it over a year later.
Name of the Wind, The Mistborn Trilogy, The Return of the King, The Wheel of Time series, and like TWO HUNDRED MORE BOOKS on my shelves that just glare at me every time I pass by!
I’m actually not big on disturbing books, they give me more anxiety than I already have and I don’t have time for that nonsense. But I would have to say The Girl on the Train, Into the Water, Dark Places, and Sharp Objects. I used to read books like that before I realized what they were doing to my mental health, so I stopped. But all of these had some very graphic/creepy/disturbing scenes that I still remember and try to forget.
This one for me is obviously Harry Potter. I will forever be a Harry Potter fan and I will always come back to these books. They are massive comfort reads for me and I love just turning on an audiobook and picking back up with the Golden Trio. Every time I read them I gain a new appreciation for the series and I will always be grateful to Rowling for creating this series, no matter how much hate she gets.
What did you think of my answers? Any similar to what you would put? I’m not going to tag anyone because I have no idea who does and doesn’t watch Game of Thrones but if you see this and want to partake please do! Be sure to tag me so I can see your answers!!
