down the TBR hole

Down the TBR hole #20!

Down the TBR Hole was originally created by Lost In A Story (along with the pretty graphic!) The idea is to help slim down your Goodreads TBR, because we all know how large and endless that list becomes!

How it works:

→ Go to your Goodreads to be read shelf
→ Order on ascending date added
→ Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
→ Read the synopses of the books
→ Decide: keep it or should it go?

My 5 books:

These covers are all so dark and broody 😂

  1. Wink Poppy Midnight : by April Genevieve Tucholke
    • I actually bought this book a while ago because the cover is SO PRETTY but alas, it just doesn’t seem like my type of read. I have read A LOT of negative reviews and I generally agree with the masses unfortunately. I also sold this a while ago so I guess even then I knew it wasn’t for me 🤷‍♀️
      • Judgement: GO
  2. The Glass Spare : by Lauren DeStefano
    • I got this as an Owlcrate exclusive back in 2017 and I still really want to read it! This sounds right up my alley, banishes princesses, kingdoms at war, deadly curses. Count me in.
      • Judgement: KEEP
  3. These Shallow Graves : by Jennifer Donnelly
    • I bought this on Book Outlet a couple years ago and they sent me a signed copy which is SUPER exciting! I love signed books! This one is a YA mystery/romance/historical fiction which is generally not my type of book but I’m so drawn in by the synopsis and cover I simply have to keep it!
      • Judgement: KEEP
  4. The Snowman : by Jo Nesbo
    • I don’t why I randomly added this book to my TBR, not only is it the SEVENTH book in a series when I don’t have the first six books on my TBR nor have I read them, but also this is a thriller/crime novel and like??? My anxiety can’t handle that.
      • Judgement: GO
  5. The Last Time I Saw Her : by Amber Garza
    • Am I looking at MY Goodreads TBR? I have no idea what this is or how/why I added it. It just sounds like a run of the mill mystery story.
      • Judgement: GO

Based on how dark the covers all are and at initial first glance I really thought I’d be getting rid of all these books! What did you think of my choices? Any you agree with?
