Monthly Wrap Up

April Wrap Up!

Hello my lovely friends and happy Tuesday πŸ“š such a weird day for the end of the month, I fell like the last day of a month should always be on a Sunday or something so then on Monday not only do you start a new week but you also start a new month. I don’t know, I’m being weird πŸ™ƒ

Okay on to my April wrap up! This month I only managed to read 5 books. I say that like it’s a bad thing, but considering I read over 10 books in January, February, and March, I just feel like I under-performed in April. But it was a super busy month for me work wise, and outside of work too weirdly. Occasionally I just didn’t feel like reading, and a lot of time was spent watching Game of Thrones because the boyfriend and I are trying to catch up (on season 4 right now!)

Here are the 5 books I read in April:

It’s such a weird feeling to me that I feel like I failed in my reading this month. I’m a book blogger and bookstagrammer, I have this feeling that I should constantly be reading and if I’m not then I’m not doing the best I can for my sites. I don’t know, is it just me?

  1. Lady Smoke : by Laura Sebastian
    • ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review here.
  2. Shadow of the Fox : by Julie Kagawa
    • ⭐⭐⭐ Review here.
  3. An Enchantment of Ravens : by Margaret Rogerson
    • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review here.
  4. Roar : by Cora Carmack
    • ⭐⭐⭐ Review here.
  5. Rick and Morty vs Dungeons and Dragons : by Patrick Rothfuss
    • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review coming tomorrow.

Alright well, that’s all I guess. I don’t know. I’m just really disappointed with the amount of books I read this month and that it overall wasn’t a great reading month for me. The only one I 100% enjoyed was An Enchantment of Ravens (I’m not counting Rick and Morty because it’s a Graphic Novel and comparing those would be like comparing an apple to an orange). I also only read TWO of the books I had on my April TBR. Hopefully I can get those read in May? Who knows, clearly I don’t stick to my TBR’s.

  1. There’s absolutely no reason for you to feel like you haven’t read enough. Only do what you enjoy, it’s okay to make time for other things☺️
